The curtains part, the lights come on and the music blares – it is time to perform.

For the SMCHS dance program, May 10-13, 2017 is the final curtain call. The annual spring dance concert highlights the dance team, intermediate and advanced dance classes, soloists and guest performances from student-athletes.

From student choreographed routines to music selections, the dance program creates a showcase for students, faculty and staff, family and friends.

“My favorite part is dancing with all my best friends,” said dance team junior Bella Zintel. “The dances we have practiced and worked so hard for all year [are] special because it’s the last time we get to dance together as that specific team. [We start] with ‘Powerful’ because it has high energy, impressive tricks and choreography that gets the crowd excited for the rest of the show.”
