Superbowl LX (60) showed the rematch of the year: The Seattle Seahawks vs. The New England Patriots. Fans who remember Super Bowl XLIX (49) know that this year’s Super Bowl was a highly anticipated game. In Super Bowl XLIX, during the last 26 seconds of the fourth quarter, the score was 28-24 New England. The Seattle Seahawks had the ball on the Patriots 1-yard line. Most football fans know, at this point, they should run the ball and score to win the game. However, with a controversial call by the Seahawk’s offensive coordinator, the Seahawks decided to pass the ball. This call cost the Seahawks a Super Bowl title, due to Malcolm Butler’s famous interception on the one-yard line. Since then, the Seahawks fans have been waiting for a rematch after their disappointing loss. 2026 brought quarterbacks Sam Darnold (Seattle) and Drake Maye (New England) into one of the most anticipated rematches. While New England’s defense played strong, it was not strong enough to hold back Seattle’s offense. The final score was 29-13, Seattle Seahawks. A disappointing game for New England fans as many thought the Patriots were bringing back their past dominance over the NFL. However, Seattle got their revenge by winning this Super Bowl.
