The multitude of Barbie movies, specifically the ones released in the 2000s and 2010s, have enchanted the hearts of millions of little girls. The immense nostalgia I feel when rewatching these movies is unparalleled. My sisters and I have grown up watching these movies and obviously we have our favorites. It’s hard to choose just one, so here are some of the best Barbie movies: Barbie as the Island Princess, Barbie: Mariposa and the Fairy Princess, Barbie: 12 Dancing Princesses, Barbie: Diamond Castle, Barbie: A Fairy Secret, Barbie in the Nutcracker, Barbie: Princess Charm School, Barbie in a Mermaid Tale, and Barbie: the Princess & the Pauper. Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse is another amazing Barbie adaptation except it’s a television series instead of a movie.

The cinema, the characters, and the storylines make these Barbie movies the masterpieces they are today. Personally, I believe the Barbie movies developed past the 2010s are not as magical as the originals, but to each their own. If you haven’t watched any of the Barbie movies, please give them a chance because they will change your life. The friendship portrayed, the love exhibited, and the problem solving skills that Barbie is always able to utilize to save the day was so inspiring to me as a kid and still is to me today.
