Netflix removes content

This year, Netflix removed various shows that had been on their platform for several years.

Each year Netflix brings new shows and movies for many to enjoy. Simultaneously, the streaming service also removes numerous shows and movies. This year specifically, Netflix removed many prominent shows and movies to the dismay of audiences.

Numerous shows have been on Netflix for several year but not will not be available to watch anymore. Many removed shows pop up on other platforms, which deters customers from using Netflix.

Titles often leave Netflix when they are not getting enough views and exposure. They are also removed when it is too expensive to renew the show or movie. There are also sometimes issues with the licensing agreements which prevent the titles from staying on Netflix.

The biggest and most popular show that is leaving Netflix in 2020 is The Office. As one of the most prominent and well known TV shows on Netflix, the decision upset viewers. Other popular TV titles such as Nursre Jackie. Gossip Girl, and Dexter will also be leaving Netflix towards the end of December.

By the end of 2020, many more favorites will go. A few on the well known movies leaving the platform are The Notebook, Back to the Future, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Indiana Jones, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. All of the these titles will be missed along with multiple others but will be availed watch on other streaming services.
