Halloween night- People can watch their favorite seasonal movies in the comfort of their own home.
When weather gets colder, jack-o-lanterns adorn the front yard’s of houses and leaves begin to fall, Halloween approaches. Due to COVID-19, celebrated Halloween by trick or treating or spending the night with friends will look slightly different. However, watching classic holiday movies provide an alternative way to enjoy the night.
A 1993 flick starring Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. The film takes place in Salem, where the Sanderson sisters are executed for witchcraft. 300 years later, Max Dennison lights a candle that brings the witches back to life, creating chaos on Halloween. The witches have until sunrise to make themselves immortal, but Max and his little sister Dani, with the help of a black cat, are determined to stop them.
Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler find the paranormal fascinating, but find themselves out of work when their interests get them in trouble. In order to prove themselves they continue their interest in the paranormal by starting a business called Ghostbusters. When a paranormal entity threatens the existence of humanity, Ghostbusters spring into action.
If you are in the mood for horror movie, Paranormal Activity will give you a scare. The film begins when a young couple, Katie and Micah, move into a new house. After three years, they experience a ghostly entity in her room, and Katie tells Micah that she has experienced paranormal activity in the house when she was a child. They call a ghost specialist to help get rid of the spirit, but it proves more difficult than initially anticipated.
Made in 1998, the film begins on Halloween night, when Marnie Piper argues with her mother, Gwen, about why she and her siblings, Dylan, and Sophie, can’t go out on Halloween. During the argument Marnie’s grandmother, Aggie, shows up for her annual visit. The family initially appears normal, but Aggie and Gwen are witches. Aggie has another reason for visiting her grandchildren- a dark evil is brewing in Halloweentown and Aggie needs help to defeat it. When something attacks Aggie and Gwen, Marnie, Dylan, and Sophie rush to save their family members and defeat the evil.
