The merriest time of year at Disneyland Resort is also known to be the most expensive. From November 15, 2024 to January 6, 2025, the ticket prices to Disneyland will be higher than usual due to the popularity surrounding the extravagant decorations and activities that turn Disneyland into a Christmas dream. Among these seasonal offers are the food and drinks that help the guests to feel in the Christmas spirit. Here are ten Christmas themed food items to keep you full during an eventful Disneyland day:
- Alien Reindeer Macaron
This dessert, new to the park this year, is a macaron containing salted caramel buttercream, chocolate ganache, and pieces of brownie. It is decorated with three eyes, a nose, and a cute chocolate smile. It can be found at Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland.
- Peppermint Holiday Sundae
If you’re in the mood for something colder, the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is bringing back the Peppermint Holiday Sundae. This contains two scoops of peppermint ice cream with some whipped cream on top. On each side of the whipped cream lies two Oreos to represent Mickey ears, along with pieces of crushed peppermint, all served in a waffle bowl with red and green sprinkles. (Featured image)
- Santa’s Vacation Sausage Potato
By the middle of the day, you will most likely want some savory food in between all of these sweets. Luckily, at the Refreshment Corner, you can find the new Santa’s Vacation Sausage Potato, containing teriyaki sauce and pickled pineapple on a baked potato. The top, however, contains mac salad.
- Peppermint Mickey-shaped Beignets
One of the most popular Disneyland desserts are beignets, which are deep fried pieces of dough topped with powdered sugar. During the Christmas season, you can find these at the Mint Julep Bar, with peppermint powdered sugar instead of regular for that Christmas twist.
- Darth by Peppermint
Are you a Star Wars fan? If so, you might be intrigued by the new Darth by Peppermint offered at the Galactic Grill. On the inside, you will find chocolate sponge, chocolate pudding, and peppermint mousse. On the top, you will find not just an assortment of crunchy pearls, cookies and cream pieces, and candy cane sprinkles, but also a chocolate mold of Darth Vader and a pretzel as his lightsaber.
- Gingerbread Cake
Now, can it really be Christmas if you don’t eat something with gingerbread? At the Plaza Inn, they are offering a new gingerbread cake containing cream cheese filling, buttercream, glaze, gingerbread crunch, and the cutest chocolate gingerbread on top.
- Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew
Getting tired as the day goes on? You should try the Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. This is a new, non-alcoholic cold brew coffee that contains peppermint, chocolate, and sweet cream.
- Christmas Tree Pull-apart Sourdough Bread
If you’re in a big group, a nice snack would be the Christmas Tree Pull-apart Sourdough Bread found at Aunt Cass CafĂ©. You can each pull off a piece of this bread tree and enjoy the simple but filling snack. This is found in Disney California Adventure Park.
- Holiday Magic Popcorn
However, if you are more in the mood for a sweet and salty snack, the new Holiday Magic Popcorn found at the Troubadour Tavern will be a favorable option due to its white chocolate-flavored popcorn, pretzel sticks, crushed peppermint, and M&Ms scattered throughout.
- Crackling Hot Chocolate
A perfect way to end the night would be with some hot chocolate. At the Royal Street Veranda, you can find the new Crackling Hot Chocolate, which puts a spin on classic hot chocolate by adding dark chocolate popping candy and red, orange, and yellow sprinkles on top of marshmallow cream.
With all of these food options and many more, Disneyland ensures that guests will be getting what they’re paying for to go during such a special, and expensive, season.
