Four things to do before college

For my fellow seniors, as our high school experience comes to an end, it is easy to feel as if there is so much left to experience with such little time before we go to college. Here is a list of some activities and experiences you should check off your bucket list before the end of the summer!

  1. Go to an amusement park with friends and family

There is no better place to reconnect with your inner child before facing adulthood than an amusement park. Treat your friends and family to a nice day at Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm and enjoy the rollercoasters, food, and overall experience it provides.

  1. Reconnect with mother nature

After college applications and other academic obligations that we have had to take care of, a detox from the responsibilities of everyday life is an absolute necessity. There are many beautiful hiking spots and picturesque places around Orange County where you can enjoy a peaceful walk or hike in. Places such as El Moro Canyon Loop Trail and Shipley Nature Center provide a peaceful and cathartic experience that makes the exercise involved worth it.

  1. Go on a road trip with friends

A change in scenery is never a bad thing and road trips provide the perfect and quick getaway from life in Orange County. Whether the road trip involves an hour-long drive to San Diego or an excursion across the country, a road trip with friends and family is the perfect opportunity for travel before college.

  1. Go to a museum

Museums are a perfect place to explore and expand your knowledge on a range of topics, from the arts to the sciences. Viewing influential works could potentially inspire you to pick up a paintbrush or do hobbies you never got the chance to do before. One amazing exhibit to explore is the Van Gogh Exhibit in Los Angeles which is also an amazing place to take pictures.
