Dua Lipa took the world by storm with her breakout hit album in 2017 and has been an ascending pop star ever since. March 2020 marked the release of her second album Future Nostalgia and in February 11 she released the deluxe “moonlight Edition” of the album featuring four previously unheard tracks. ‘Levitating’ has catchy upbeat rhythm, making it a dance hit. The lyrics allude falling in love and the feeling of “levitating” it creates.
“Lost in your light” is about forgetting about everything else and getting being fully love in with someone. Miguel accompanies Dua on the track and adding elements of R&B.
Dua Lipa lays down an empowering message in “New Rules.” The song is about taking the advice you would give to a close friend and applying it to your own relationships.
“Don’t start now” features a disco element to keep with the theme of “nostalgia” in the album. Dua explains, “It’s a perfect breakup song, about when you finally find your feet and then somebody decides to come crawling back just when you’ve moved on.”
