Freshman Courtney Tran shared her honest take on life at SM, saying her favorite part of the school day is “the lunch because the food is very good,” especially the fries, “though sometimes they’re soggy.” She currently plays beach volleyball for P.E. credit, explaining that while it’s “going pretty good,” she won’t continue next year because “practices are tough.” Courtney’s favorite place on campus is the Wellness Center, where she says she would “stay all day” if she could. She describes the SM community as “kind and caring and very Catholic‑based,” and credits Ms. Hawks as her favorite teacher because “she’s very sweet” and still checks in with her. If she could change one thing about SM, Courtney said she’d choose a “less strict dress code” that allows any pants in school colors.
