The 67th Grammy awards are coming up in February of 2025 and the nominees have just been released, spiking interest and surprise in today’s public. The categories of the Grammy Awards next year include Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Producer of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and so many more.
Album of the Year and Song of the Year are usually the two categories that audiences pay the most attention to. Nominees for album of the year are Cowboy Carter, New Blue Sun, Djesse Vol. 4, Short n’ Sweet, The Tortured Poets Department, Brat, Hit Me Hard and Soft, and the Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. Personally, I believe that Hit Me Hard and Soft by Billie Eilish deserves to be awarded album of the year for a variety of reasons, whether it’s the meaning and effort behind her songs or the duality and complexity that Billie put into each song individually and into the album as a whole.
Nominees for song of the year are Fortnight, Birds of a Feather, Not Like Us, Good Luck, Babe!, Please Please Please, A Bar Song (Tipsy), Die with a Smile, and TEXAS HOLD ‘EM. For this category, I don’t have a specific song that I think should win but that doesn’t mean I don’t have favorites, which are Birds of a Feather, Not Like Us, and Please Please Please.
By checking for updates and evaluating who we believe should win the various categories of the 67th annual Grammy Awards, we can prepare ourselves for what is to come and get excited for the upcoming ceremony in February. Stay tuned!
