With her impressive track record in leadership, Junior Class president Katie Rackohn is excited to bring fresh ideas to our school’s student government. This isn’t her first year in our schools student government and she assures students that she is more than prepared to lead our eagles with pride. “My goal is just to be a voice for the students” says Rackohn. She encourages all students of all grade levels to bring their concerns or issues to her. Our Madame President was born and raised here in California and lives at home with her two dogs Ollie and Mickey. In her free time, she enjoys working and doing community service. “I love giving back, especially with non profits like Laura’s House” says Rackohn. However, she also revealed the amount of stress she feels being class president but also as a student. “The election process was super stressful and I honestly didn’t think I would win. I think lots of students are under a lot of stress to begin with and I deal with that for sure”. When asked for her best tip to deal with stress, Rackohn shares that she enjoys going to the wellness center just to take a breather. Rackohn’s final message to students: “Be yourself and try your best to enjoy high school because it goes by faster than you’d expect!”
