Hello! My name is Jane Handa. I’m involved in SM’s after-school program Talon Theatre and am Secretary in our Thespian board.

Although I’ve been involved in Talon Theatre since I was a freshman, I’m fairly new to theatre as a whole. I’ve learned a lot, and found a new way to channel my love of music, art, and performance.

I’ve also been able to try so much, in ensemble, singing my first solo, playing my first principle role, playing violin, designing costumes and leading costume crew, and being assistant stage manager.

The community has drawn me in from my very first show week, where we did a ton of special (and secret!) traditions that keep the bonds between each cast and crew member strong.

Theatre has helped me meet plenty of new people and has made me excited to get to know more!
