“From applying makeup for theatre to creating art pieces to taking Art History, the unique art community at SMCHS has been a large part of my high school experience. As a mostly visual artist, I’ve been taking art classes at SM since freshman year and am currently in the IB Visual Arts Class. Because my art class is small, we are super close-knit and each of us is working to make an exhibition for the art show in the spring. My exhibition frames the question “What is Identity?” and with my exhibition, I hope to ignite meaningful reflection and conversation about the parts of ourselves that make each person unique in their opinions, identities, and environments. I am super excited for the SM community to see it in the spring!”
