“Like many freshmen I was extremely nervous coming to SM and starting high school with people that were four years older than me, but SM made it super easy to find my community and group of friends. One thing that I did that really help me find friends and find people was joining the SMCHS Dance Team. This help me branch out not only in my grade but also in grades above me because many of the girls on dance team were a couple of years older than me. They helped guide me through the process of coming to high school from middle school. Everyone was extremely helpful and joining dance team helped me come out of my shell and find friends in my classes and all around the community of SMCHS.”
