“There are many things that define my SM experience, but one of the most important ones is being a Full IB student. Through this program, I have grown significantly both intellectually and personally. I feel like through all the difficulties of doing Full IB, my classmates and I have shared a unique and unforgettable experience. I especially enjoyed last year’s philosophy class and the joys of taking Latin. Overall, I think that IB has challenged me to become the best version of myself and to continue to foster my love of learning far beyond high school.
When I graduate from SM, I will miss the communities I’ve formed the most. During my four years as an Eagle, I have met so many amazing people who have helped me become who I am today. From late nights performing in school concerts, to the crazy energy at football games and dances, to last-minute study sessions during lunch, while at SM I have been constantly surrounded by friends who uplift each other. I will always remember the people I’ve met over the last four years and the inspiring school atmosphere that made me choose to attend SM.
Academically, I have been blessed with wonderful teachers each year at SM who have pushed me to achieve. Because of this, I ended up a Full IB student, taking some of the hardest courses the school has to offer. Taking physics especially has had a significant impact on my aspirations, as I now plan to major within physics or engineering to pursue a career in space sciences. While at SM I have also grown in my Catholic faith, and in the future I will continue to act upon the principles of Caritas Christi and show the love of Christ to all those I encounter. I think that being a student at SM has prepared me to go out into the world and inspire others, just as so many things including my SM experience have inspired me.”
