“At SMCHS, I am involved in the varsity song team, IB Dance and I’m also a school ambassador. I love being involved in a lot of activities around school to get myself out there and meet new people.

Being apart of the song team was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ever since I was little, I would go to the Jr. Eagle camps because the song leaders were my biggest inspirations, and I have looked up to those girls my whole life. When I finally became a song leader, it changed my life for the better. I met so many of my closest friends from the program. From cheering at games to competing on the floor, I love to wear the school logo with pride. The song program is like one big family that will always be there for you.

The song team has taught me what hard work and self discipline really means. It takes the whole team to improve and get better and I really learned that as being a team member. Not only has the song team taught me what a strong work ethic is, but it has also helped me in my daily life. One of our main goals from the team last year was perseverance. I use that in my daily life  whenever I am struggling or going through difficult times. With a team like the song program, you can get through anything with the help and support of tour teammates by your side.”
