“I joined Talon Theatre as a freshman. My first show was West Side Story. I was Indio, one of the sharks. Talon theatre has been one of the core aspects of Santa Margarita for me. I know it differs for everyone whether they’re in baseball, or soccer or swimming, but for me I feel like I really met my family in theatre in high school. Talon theatre just feels like such a close knit community. It’s very supportive, whether that be between chapels or just show[ing] up for rehearsal and everyone’s like ‘how was your day? Let’s go dance and work on this song.’ There’s a certain warmness about Talon Theatre that I have loved and will always remember.”

“[My favorite show] is Phantom. Phantom was an interesting show because we were all like this isn’t Phantom of the Opera and then we went through the rehearsal process and I had 6 costumes, I had like three different dancing roles. It was this big show that everybody was in and everybody had their part. It was just genuinely fun. In West Side I was still adjusting, but in Phantom I was like I know these people I love these people. This is amazing. “
