“Let’s talk about the time I got a concussion in sixth grade playing hide and go seek. I’m hiding behind a wall. Right? I’m chilling there, just hiding, because I’m the hider and the seeker began to seek me. As I’m hiding behind the wall of Rancho Canada Elementary School, I see him (the seeker) in the reflection of the window on the wall across from me. I was like, ‘Oh he’s coming,’ so I book out of the corner I was hiding in. I wasn’t looking and hit a pole.

I hit the pole with the whole side of my body, so I fell backward and the back of my head hit the concrete too. I got double whammy-d within two seconds and… oh my it hurt a lot. I’m in tears at this point. The campus supervisor said I was fine, but I had a terrible headache all day long. When I went home, I showed my mom and she told me I was probably concussed. Long story short, I was concussed and it was very sad because it was during the world series. I wasn’t supposed to watch the game but did anyways which didn’t help. I just find it very ironic that I got a concussion in sixth grade by running into a pole, but I’ve played four years of football in the Trinity League and have not been concussed once.”
