In search of a 19-year old male
College students return home for the holidays expecting to catch up with family and friends. Blaze Bernstein, however, disappeared in the middle of his holiday break.
Bernstein had plans to be with friends at night on Jan. 2, after a family dinner, but was expected to return back to his house in Lake Forest. The following morning Bernstein’s parents realized he never returned home. He hasn’t been seen or heard from in over a week.
Bernstein attends the University of Pennsylvania and according to Don Voght, leading the missing-persons investigation for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Bernstein is always punctual and communicative with parents and friends and his disappearance is uncharacteristic
“After speaking with the family, Blaze isn’t someone who wouldn’t talk to his parents or his family unless he had a reason,” Voght said. “We’re just concerned for his safety; we’re hoping he’s out there and maybe for some reason hasn’t called his parents.”
Bernstein was last seen around 10:30 p.m. at Borrego Park in Foothill Ranch while exiting a friend’s car. According to the Orange County Register, Blaze is about 5-feet-9, weighs about 130 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, a dark-gray long-sleeved zip-up top, and white Adidas shoes.
Anyone with information regarding his safety or disappearance , should contact the Orange County Sheriffs Department at 714-647-7000.
