Since 1997, Halloween Horror Nights has been a Halloween staple at Universal Studios Hollywood. Loved for its immersive mazes, terrifying haunted houses, and scream-filled scare zones, the experience is to die for.
Halloween Horror Nights opened for the year Sept. 4th and will continue on select dates until Nov. 2nd. It runs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.. Early Event Access tickets are also available, which allow you to enter the park at 5:30 p.m..
A few haunted houses have been added to the experience this year, including Fallout, the Jason Universe, Poltergeist, Terrifier, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and a WWE maze where guests are terrorized by WWE superstars like Uncle Howdy. There are also some beloved attractions returning in 2025, like updated versions of the Monstruos, Scarecrow, and Terror Tram mazes.
Also returning from 2024 is the Purge: Dangerous Waters stunt show. Chainsaw Man: the Chaos is another available show in which guests can enjoy an original storyline involving Chainsaw Man anime characters.
One of the most iconic features of Halloween Horror Nights are the sinister scare zones. Scare zones are specific areas around the park where guests are terrorized by scare actors. This year, guests will be terrified by the four that are available: Noche de Brujas, Chainsaw Clowns, Carnival of Carnage, and Murder of Crows.
Some of the Universal Studios Hollywood rides will be open for guests during Halloween Horror Night hours, including Jurassic World, Transformers, Revenge of the Mummy, the Simpsons, and all attractions at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Seasonal food and drinks are also incorporated throughout the various attractions. Guests can order drinks in a blood bag, feast on a smore shaped like the Jason Universe mask, and so much more. Merchandise is also scattered throughout the park for purchase.
With the petrifying mazes, hair-raising atmosphere, eerie shows, and spooky scare zones, Halloween Horror Nights 2025 is sure to be a bloody good time.
