It’s college basketball fans’ favorite time of the season: March Madness! Starting March 18th, March Madness for Men’s basketball begins. On Selection Sunday (March 17th), 68 teams were selected through a mix of 31 automatic qualifiers and 37 at-large bids, determined by an NCAA selection committee.
March Madness is highlighted by several rounds, beginning with the First Four (March 18th-19th). Next, the first round begins (March 20th-21st) and then the second round (March 22nd– 23rd). After these three rounds, the qualifying teams move into the prestigious Sweet 16 (March 27th-28th), Elite Eight (March 29th-30th), to the Final Four (April 5th). Finally, the last 2 teams will verse each other, playing for the national championship.
As March Madness is underway, there are numerous top contenders to look at for including Michigan State, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Duke, Florida, BYU, Clemson UConn, and NC State. Last year, the national championship game was Purdue vs UConn, with UConn winning 75-60. Make sure to fill out your March Madness brackets for the 2025 season!
