Cinderella leaves the glass slipper only to have Prince Charming grasp it in his hands, covered with white gloves, as he chases after his princess, but she has already left in a magical carriage. Now that the classic tale of Disney’s movie Cinderella is told, drawing comes next. Through pencil and paper, junior Bridget Callahan crafts a magical piece of artwork that depicts the forbidden love seen through the story of Cinderella finding her prince.

Callahan sees all fairytales one as inspiration for art and she can’t get enough of recreating the classics.

Her passion for creating Disney art began in the seventh grade and has grown with her up until now.

“I have been taking art classes and I get better every single day and even more every year,” Callahan said. “I used to just doodle and things like that, but now that I am in an actual art class, I like doing art projects and get better with my drawings.”

Callahan’s passion for art has been her method to de-stress from difficult days at school.

“Disney is something that never lets me down in its magic and optimism,” she said. “Their movies are truly works of art and touch millions of lives every day.”

Callahan wants her artwork not only to showcase the inner Disney child that is within each and every one of us, but she also wants it to inspire people to follow their dreams and keep Disney alive.

“It brings back their favorite childhood memories in a new way that is equally as beautiful as they remember,” she said. “Disney Company goes above and beyond to protect the magic and purity that so many people associate with Disney.”

Callahan goes to Disneyland on a regular basis and has become somewhat of a Disney expert. All things Disney are locked in her brain just waiting to be shared with everyone, all you have to do is ask. If you ever have a Disney question, Callahan is your girl

“I fell in love with everything Disney and naturally that led me to discover the world of Disney art,” she said. “I love knowing as much as I can about the place that I love most in the world.”

Callahan hopes to share her love of Disney and her artwork that comes along with it with everyone to show people that Disney has more to share than just fairytales.

“I want my art to take people to another place and to make them see something magical, or make them feel comfortable,” she said. “I just want to create things that people like looking at, that brings THEM joy.”

Callahan hopes to bring her passion for art and Disney into her career in the future so that she can do what she loves for as long as she can.

“I want to major or minor in visual communications and graphic design [in college],” Callahan said. “My ultimate dream is to become a visual director as Disney and be part of the creative process of making the movies.
