A large crowd of spirited students gathered on Friday Jan. 6 to kick off the highly anticipated boys basketball season. With the local sportswriter Steve Fryer present, it was obvious that the Nest cheered louder than ever to secure last year’s #2 ranking among high school student sections in Orange County. By the end of the night, voices were gone and knees grew weary as the student section celebrated a 72-62 victory against Orange Lutheran High School. Experiencing the game from inside the Nest truly captured Friday night’s energy, spirit and triumph.
