How to glam yourself up for Winter Formal without added expense.

Feb 20, 2015

It is the week of Winter Formal, and your stress levels are through the roof.  Not only are you trying to manage your grades, but now you have to complete all the must-dos for the upcoming dance that you should have done weeks ago. The list is absurd:

Hopefully you have checked a few of these items off of the long list of pre-formal necessities, but if not, good luck girl! If you have started the preparations for the dance, you must have noticed that they are rapidly draining your wallet. Here is a rough estimate of your total expenses for pre-dance day preparations so far:

price tag

Give and take, but mostly give if you have more expensive tastes. Yikes! Any way to save some money would definitely help save your wallet from total destruction — that is if you haven’t already busted your bank!

In order to save some money and prevent an even larger price tag, I recommend doing your own hair and makeup for Winter Formal. You will save an additional $60-180. You can use the makeup you already own, and still look drop-dead gorgeous for the dance.

No matter what look you are hoping to accomplish, there is a way to make it happen without breaking into your college fund for extra cash. Noelle Kendall, senior hair and makeup guru, gives us girls three looks that will make it seem as if a beauty crew dolled is up for the big event. Don’t worry, your beauty secret is safe with me.
